Payment Methods & Card Payments
What payment methods do you accept in store?
Gold Factory accepts Visa, Mastercard, cash and bank transfer. American Express is not accepted.
Do you accept American Express?
No.
Do you accept cash?
Yes. Cash is accepted in store subject to applicable limits, verification and legal requirements. Any transaction- specific cash limit is confirmed at the time of payment.
Do you accept bank transfer?
Yes. Bank transfer is available for appropriate transactions.
Do you accept Visa and Mastercard?
Yes.
How are online card payments processed?
Online card payments can be processed securely through Gold Factory's online payment system, including Stripe where applicable.
Do you offer Klarna?
Yes, where shown as available and subject to Klarna eligibility and separate finance terms.
Do you offer Clearpay?
Yes, where shown as available and subject to Clearpay eligibility and separate finance terms.
Is finance guaranteed?
No. Any finance or instalment option is subject to the provider's eligibility, approval and separate terms.
What is a pending card transaction?
A pending transaction can be a temporary bank authorisation rather than a completed payment. If an order is cancelled or the payment is not completed, Gold Factory may not receive the money, but the bank can take time to release the pending amount.
How long can a pending bank authorisation take to disappear?
A pending bank authorisation commonly clears within around 3-7 working days, although the timing is controlled by your bank and can vary. If it remains pending, contact your bank and Gold Factory with the transaction details.
Do you charge a consumer card surcharge?
Gold Factory does not impose a consumer payment surcharge where the law prohibits it.
Can you delay an order for payment checks?
Yes. High-value jewellery payments may be subject to cardholder, address, identity and fraud-prevention checks before dispatch or release.
Can somebody order using someone else's card?
High-value card transactions are subject to verification. For Click & Reserve, only the cardholder may collect and the same card must be used for the balance.
Do trade customers have different payment terms?
They can. Separate written trade terms may apply, including agreed credit arrangements and late-payment provisions.
What happens if a trade customer pays late?
Where a separate written trade agreement provides for late-payment interest or other charges, those agreed terms apply. The exact amount depends on the individual trade agreement.
What happens if a cheque is stopped or returned?
If Gold Factory has agreed to accept a cheque and it is stopped or returned, reasonable bank and administration costs may apply in accordance with the applicable transaction terms.
