Measurement first Use the guide for the item you are choosing and measure the person who will actually wear it. Product fit can vary with design, so use the measurements as a guide and contact us if you are unsure. |
Choose a Size Guide
- Ring Size Guide - measure an existing ring or the intended finger and compare with UK letter sizes.
- Children's Ring Size Guide - measure the child's actual finger; do not choose a ring size from age alone.
- Bangle Size Guide - measure an existing bangle or, where the bangle must pass over the hand, measure the widest part of the hand.
- Bracelet Size Guide - measure the wrist and compare with the length stated for the bracelet.
- Chain & Necklace Length Guide - compare lengths in inches and centimetres before choosing where you want the jewellery to sit.
How to Improve Accuracy
- Measure the exact finger, hand, wrist or intended chain position for the person who will wear the item.
- Measure more than once. If the results differ, measure again.
- Use millimetres for ring and bangle measurements where possible.
- Do not measure from a photograph or from an on-screen image.
- Check the individual product measurements and size options shown on the Gold Factory website.
Sizing and Alterations
Some jewellery can be resized or altered, but whether this is possible depends on the individual item and the work required. Gold Factory offers ring sizing and other jewellery workshop services, with the work assessed individually.
