18ct gold is 75% gold, marked 750. Gram for gram it holds twice the gold of 9ct, so the same weight is worth roughly twice as much.

Multiply the gold price per gram by 0.75 and then by the weight of the piece. Stones and clasps are not gold, so they come out of the calculation when we weigh it properly.

18ct is usual in engagement rings and better quality chains, and often in pieces worth assessing whole.
